A range of short courses to support those who go to sea in small craft. These are a mixture of clasroom based courses and online training.
RYA Sea Survival 1 day (classroom, inc. pool and flare session)
What to do if it all goes wrong and you have to abandon your vessel. Suitable for sailors, power boaters and anyone who goes to sea in small craft (under 200 tonnes).
World Sailing Offshore Personal Survival 2 days (classroom, inc. pool and flare session)
A more involved 2-days that goes beyond the RYA Sea Survival and is mandatory for offshore race crews competing in yachts races such as the Fastnet Race, Round Britain & Ireland Race, the Lonely Rock Race the Round Ireland Race, the ARC Trans Atlantic Race, the Sydney Hobart Race and so on.
World Sailing Offshore Personal Survival Refresher 1 day (classroom, inc. pool session)
Sailors who have previously taken the above course require a refresher 5 years after the original certificates. This one day refresher is quicker than re taking the original two days.
STCW Personal Survival Techniques (PST) 1 day (classroom, inc. pool and flare session)
Commercial seafarers and super-yacht crew are required to hold this one day sea survival certificate. It is broadly the same as the RYA Sea Survival and we allow students booking on either to dual certify.
RYA Professional Practices & Responsibilities (online or bespoke 1:1 classroom)
A requirement for a commercially endorsed RYA Certificates (Day Skipper, Yachtmaster, Advanced Powerboat and Level 2). The online course introduces you to the legal frame work you will be working within.
RYA Safe & Fun (online)
A safe-guarding requirement for all RYA Windsurf, Dinghy, Keelboat and Multihull Instructors.
