DINGHY LEVEL 3 AIMS:
This Improver Course bridges the gap between the Level 2 Dinghy (Basic Skills) course and the more advanced dinghy modules (Seamanship, Start Racing, Spinnakers and Performance Sailing). It is intended to make the transition easier for those sailors wishing to progress through the scheme, allowing them opportunity to develop their technique and also have a taster of what the Advanced Courses have to offer.
BETTER SAILING COURSE DURATION:
Two Days 0915 to 1645 or five summer evenings 1800 to 2100.
DINGHY LEVEL 3 PRE REQUISITES:

- Minimum age 16 and
- 1 of the following
- RYA Dinghy Basic Skills Level 2 or
- RYA Keelboat Basic Skills Level 3 or
- RYA Multi-hull Level 2 or
- Equivalent knowledge/experience
BETTER SAILING COURSE CONTENT:
- Rig set up for different weather conditions
- Rigging, hoisting, trimming and dropping the spinnaker
- Development of trim, balance and sail setting
- Man Overboard procedure in various conditions
