RYA STAGE 4 YOUTH DINGHY SAILING COURSE AIMS:
Learn how to sail a double-handed boat as crew or helm and solve a variety of problems afloat
STAGE 4 DINGHY SAILING COURSE DURATION:
For individuals we offer several variations of this course:
- Two consecutive days (0915 to 1645)
- Five mid-week summer evenings, i.e. once a week (1800 to 2100)
- As part of our more thorough 5-day school holiday Youth Develop Sailing Week
For groups and colleges we can bespoke the timings as required
PRE REQUISITES:
- Aged 9-15
- RYA Youth Sailing Stage 3 or Youth Develop Sailing Week or equivalent experience
- Water confident (i.e. can swim 25m in clothing)
COURSE CONTENT:
- Transferring pre-learnt skills
- Techniques and manoeuvres to sail crewed boats
- Enhance rigging
- Launching
- Recovery and practical skills to recover a man overboard
WHAT’S INCLUDED:

- Wetsuit (available for £5 a day to hire from us)
