Parking is one of those hidden extras that often gets overlooked when booking a Royal Yachting Association (RYA) or Maritime and Coastguard Agency (STCW) course.
Across the Solent, many training centres — particularly those based in marinas — charge £10 per day or more for parking. Over a multi-day course, that can add a significant extra cost.

We keep things simple. When you book with us, there are no parking charges at any of our training centres.

Southampton – Southampton Water Activities Centre (SWAC)
- Private, secure on-site car park that we own outright
- Space for up to 30 vehicles
- Located close to the city centre with easy access
- Free parking for all students
Hamble – Chieftain Training HQ
- 26 dedicated private parking spaces
- Additional overflow parking available when required
- Ideal for shorebased courses on the Solent
- Free parking for all students
Scotland – Helensburgh Training Centre
- Shared use of a large, convenient marina car park
- Easy access to classroom and marina facilities
- Perfect for our GMDSS courses
- Free parking for all students
