COVID-19 LOCKDOWN TRAINING (updated 13 May 2020)
All classroom training up-to and including 3 July 2020 has been postponed. We expect to re open on the 4th July for face to face courses but are in the mean time running webinar courses (see below). Clearly if government and or governing body advice changes we will follow that advice. We have contacted everyone who has been postponed.
New Face to Face Webinars
During the Covid-19 lockdown we are running face to face Instructor led webinars. Our new Food Safety at Sea Course is available, as are the RYA Radar Course, Day Skipper Shorebased, Yachtmaster Offshore and the Yachtmaster Ocean Shorebased Courses, the RYA Sea Survival and the World Sailing Offshore Personal Survival Course. These courses should not be confused with traditional online training as they are still face to face and you have the opportunity to ask questions etc. as you go along. This is the closest you will get to a classroom while maintaining social distancing and travel restrictions. Ideal during lockdown! If there is a course you would like us to run as a webinar, please just ask.
New Classroom Course Bookings
If you wish to make a fresh booking for a classroom course for July or beyond and are worried you may later have to postpone due to Covid-19, then you need not worry.
We will allow Covid-19 related postponement up to 48 hours before a course is due to start. You will then have up to 9 months from when UK lockdown is lifted to attend a new available date. If you are travelling from overseas then you will have 9 months from when your county and the UK have both lifted lockdown and relevant travel restrictions. This varies our standard terms in your favour.
Online Courses (E-Learning)
Many students have recently turned to our online E-Learning courses which are going strong. In an attempt to help disappointed students at a time when many have seen their income cut we have reduced the price of the entire online RYA E-Learning range. Click Discounted RYA E-Learning Courses for more info.
While the classrooms are closed, we are working from home. We very much remain available for enquiries and advice and are here to help.
These are uncharted waters for all of us. Please navigate safely.
