12 Volt Marine Electrics – Projects (Level 2)

12 Volt Projects (Level 2)

Practical Marine Electrics Course – Build, Wire and Test 12V Systems

The Chieftain Training 12 Volt Projects (Level 2) course is a highly practical one-day marine electrics course designed for boat owners, aspiring marine engineers and anyone wanting to gain confidence working on 12V systems.

Unlike more theory based electrical courses, our programme focuses on hands-on projects. Students spend the day building, wiring, fault-finding and testing a range of common marine electrical circuits and installations using professional tools and equipment.

This course follows our 12 Volt Marine Electrics (Level 1) course and allows students to consolidate real practical skills through guided workshop exercises. For those who have completed our Level 1 course this extra day continues on the projects session you completed on day 2 of your original course. There are some very short Instructor led session but most of the day is spent working on a 12 Volt marine project (typically 3 or 4 projects per day) with support from our Instructor.

Whether you own a yacht, motorboat, canal boat, RIB or workboat, understanding how to safely install and maintain 12V systems can save money, improve reliability and increase safety onboard.
