Looking for a birthday party with a difference? Our Watersports Birthday Parties at SWAC offer a fun, active and memorable way to celebrate, with plenty of time on and around the water led by experienced instructors.

Parties take place at Southampton Water Activities Centre (SWAC) and are designed to be safe, inclusive and full of adventure, whatever the weather.

Who Our Parties Are For

Our birthday parties are ideal for:

• Children and young people

• Mixed-ability friendship groups

• Adventurous teens looking for something different

No previous watersports experience is needed – activities are adapted to suit the age, confidence and ability of the group.

What Activities Are Available

Parties can include one activity or a mix of activities, depending on age and conditions:

• Dinghy sailing or Keelboating– fun, teamwork and learning new skills

• Powerboating – exciting rides and hands-on involvement

• Paddle sports – kayaking, canoeing or paddleboarding

• Raft building – working together to design, build and test a raft

• Multi-activity parties – maximum variety and engagement

The focus is always on fun, participation and celebration, rather than formal instruction.

How the Party Works

• Led by qualified, friendly instructors

• All safety equipment provided

• Clear briefings and supervised activities throughout

• Plenty of smiles, laughter and shared experiences

Parents can relax knowing the party is being run professionally, with safety at the heart of everything we do.

Party Length & Format

• Activity (and changing) time the varies from 1.5 to 3.5 hrs (see table below)

• Space available for cake and refreshments (40 minutes)
