Combined FAW & PFA For Schools

COMBINED FAW & PFA COURSE AIMS:

Schools, sports clubs and nurseries find themselves in the odd situation that they need teachers trained as First Aiders for children, so must hold the Paediatric First Aid (PFA) Certificate but they also need staff trained to HSE First Aid at Work to ensure the safety of their staff and the school’s compliance with the law. We have felt for a long time that taking a 3-day FAW course followed by a 2-day Paediatric First Aid Course involves considerable duplication so we decided to do something about it and wrote a combined course.

Combining the First Aid at Work (FAW) course and Paediatric First Aid (PFA) course into 3 extended days of classroom learning, gives First Aid students all of the skills and knowledge needed to provide both adult and paediatric first aid, whilst minimising the number of training days required to achieve both qualifications.
