Cruising InstructorThe RYA Motor Cruising Scheme is for skippers and crew on board motor yachts and workboats that have cooking and sleeping facilities on board. These boats are generally 7.5-24m.
The cornerstone of the Motor Cruising Scheme is the RYA Day Skipper Shorebased and RYA Day Skipper Power courses.
More experienced skippers can move onto Coastal Skipper Power and then Yachtmaster Coastal or Offshore Power courses.
Those working in the workboat or small yachts sector (under 24m) may progress from Yachtmaster Offshore to Master 200,
In the superyacht sector (over 24m) the Yachtmaster Coastal is the entry requirement to work towards Officer of the Watch Yacht (OOW 3000).
