DINGHY SEAMANSHIP COURSE AIMS:
For you to develop your sailing skills. This course is on board our dinghies and gives you maximum time helming and adjusting sails to help you better understand how a sailing boat works. This course is very useful for all sailors, including trainee instructors.
SEAMSNHIP COURSE DURATION:
Two Days 0915 to 1645 or 5 evenings.
RYA DINGHY SEAMANSHIP PRE REQUISITES:
- RYA Dinghy Level 3 or
- RYA Multihull Level 3
COURSE CONTENT:
- Coming alongside under sail
- Departing pontoons under sail
- Picking up moorings under sail
- Anchoring under sail
- Reefing at sea
- Sailing backwards
- Rudderless sailing
- Sailing in confined spaces
Although designed for the leisure sailor this course is good preparation for the RYA Dinghy Instructor Pre Entry.
