RYA DINGHY INSTRUCTOR AIMS:
To prepare potential instructors with the skills and knowledge required to teach the RYA National Sailing Scheme at RYA Dinghy Training Centres in the UK and abroad. Successful candidates will be qualified to instruct the Youth Stage 1, 2, 3, 4, and adutlt Level 1, Level 2, Level 3, Seamanship and Day Sailing courses at RYA Dinghy Centres.
DINGHY INSTRUCTOR COURSE DURATION:
5 days 0915 to 1715 with homework most evenings. This course is usually run Monday to Friday or spread over weekends.
PRE REQUISITES:
- Minimum age 16 (by last day of the course)
- RYA First Aid Certificate or equivalent
- RYA Dinghy Pre Entry (passed within the 12 months previous to the instructor course)
- RYA Powerboat Level 2
- RYA Membership
DINGHY INSTRUC TOR COURSE CONTENT:
Training in teaching techniques afloat and ashore in order to prepare candidates to instruct the RYA National Sailing Scheme. Any one who passes an Instructor Course with us is automatically qualified for inland and coastal instructing.
