Multi-Activity School-Holiday Weeks at SWAC

Looking for an exciting, active and confidence-building summer holiday experience for your child?

Southampton Water Activity Centre’s Summer Multi-Activity Weeks offer a full week of fun on and around the water, combining a range of water-sports in a safe, supportive and professionally run environment.

Running Monday to Friday throughout the summer holidays, each week is designed to give children the chance to try multiple activities, make new friends and build skills that last far beyond the week itself.

What’s Included

Each Multi-Activity Week includes a carefully balanced programme of:

  • Sailing – learning the basics of boat handling, teamwork and confidence afloat

  • Windsurfing – developing balance, coordination and independence

  • Stand-Up Paddleboarding (SUP) – fun, accessible and great for confidence

  • Canoeing – teamwork, paddling skills and exploration

  • Raft Building – problem-solving, creativity and teamwork (with plenty of splashing!)

  • Initiative Games – team building, problem-solving

Activities are adapted to suit the weather conditions and the group, ensuring every day is safe, engaging and enjoyable.

How the Week Runs

  • Monday to Friday

  • Full-day programme (0915 to 1630)

  • A mix of water-based activities and shore-based games

  • Regular breaks and time to refuel

Children are grouped by age and ability wherever possible, so beginners feel supported and more confident participants remain challenged and engaged. Groups are typically Junior (age 8-11), Youth (aged 12-15) and Older Teens (aged 16-17).
