12 VOLT MARINE ELECTRICS OWN BOAT TUTION OVERVIEW:
Our Instructor will come to your boat and help you work through any 12 Volt installation or servicing problems you have on board. This is not a maintenance service, rather it is an own boat training service where we and you look at your on board electrics and we coach you on how to carry out checks and repairs yourselves. We have experience of working on sail and power yachts, smaller powered craft, RIBs, inland canal barges, ocean rowing boats and even a camper van, a caravan and a motorhome.
PRE REQUISITES
This bespoke tuition is not intended for beginners, it is intended for boat owners who have already completed our 2-day 12 Volt Marine Electric’s Course and now require some additional support putting things into practice onboard their own vessel.
WHAT IS COVERED ON 12 VOLT OWN BOAT TUITION?
This bespoke training can look at any 12 Volt (or 24 Volt) DC systems and equipment you have on board. We are however unable to advise on AC (shore power) problems. Our Instructor is often asked to help students trouble shoot power problems on board and locate and then fix faults. He can also help you plan a partial or complete rewire and help you calculate anything from how many domestic batteries do you need as to what configuration of auto bilge pumping is appropriate. Training can be as “hands on” as required and will always be 100% relevant to your boat.
12 & 24 VOLT OWN BOAT TUITION PRICING & BOOKING
As this is bespoke we will agree dates with you by email (or phone). Once you have booked, our Instructor will make contact with you for a preliminary discussion before your training day(s). This is to ensure you have ordered any parts you may need and you have both agreed what equipment is like to be required.
Training is £350 per day plus travel expenses.
