MOTOR OR SAIL YACHT OCEAN MODULE OVERVIEW:
The Motor Yacht Programme is broken into 4 modules; this Ocean module can e taken after modules 3 or 4. It can also be taken by those who have competed a similar Yachtmaster Sail programme at a sailing school. This programme will increase your Yachtmaster Certificate of Competence to Ocean thus removing the 150 mile offshore limit of the Yachtmaster Offshore.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO COMPLETE MOTOR OR SAIL YACHT OCEAN MODULE?
4 – 5 weeks
WHAT ARE THE PRE REQUISITES TO MOTOR OR SAIL YACHT MODULE 4?
- Minimum age 18
- ML5 or ENG1 Medical (from an MCA Doctor)
- RYA Yachtmaster Offshore Certificate of Competence Power (or Sail)
WHAT QUALIFICATIONS WILL I EARN ON MOTOR OR SAIL YACHT MODULE 4?
Successful candidates will emerge with
- MCA GMDSS Long Range Certificate
- STCW Medical First Aid
- STCW Medical Care
- RYA Yachtmaster Ocean Shorebased
