A range of short courses to support those who go to sea in small craft. These are a mixture of clasroom based courses and online training.
RYA Sea Survival (classroom)
What to do if it all goes wrong and you have to abandon your vessel, suitable for sailors, power boaters and anyone who goes to sea in small craft (under 200 tonnes).
World Sailing Offshore Personal Survival (classroom)
An add on the RYA Sea survival Course above and intended specifically for offshore race crews competing in yachts races such as the Fastnet, the Round Irealnd race, the ARC Trans Atlantic Race, the Sydney Hobart Race and so on.
Sailors who have previously taken the above two courses require a refresher5 years after the original certificates. This one day refresher is quicker than re taking the original two days.
RYA Short Range Certificate (classroom or online)
The VHF license for using marine VHF radio at sea.
RYA SRC Exam (classroom)
At the end of the above course you are required to take a short exam. If you took the online course you will need to attend a RYA centre for the exam
RYA First Aid (classroom)
First Aid for those operating afloat. The course is a must for anyone involved with watersports, power boating or yachting.
RYA Professional Practices & Responsibilities (online or bespoke 1:1 classroom)
A requirement for a commercially endorsed RYA Certificates (Day Skipper, Yachtmaster, Advanced Powerboat and Level 2. The course introduces you to the legal frame work you will be working within
RYA Safe & Fun (online or bespoke 1:1 classroom)
A safe-guarding requirement for all RYA Windsurf, Dinghy, Keelboat and Multihull Instructors.
