FREC 3 Pre Hospital Medical Care

FIRST RESPONSE EMERGENCY CARE LEVEL 3 (FREC 3)

FREC LEVEL 3 COURSE AIMS:

FREC Level 3 is a mixture of Advanced First Aid and Basic Medical Care. On this course you will take the step from being a simple work place First Aider towards becoming a paramedic. The course bridges the gap between First Aid training and Pre Hospital Medical Care and genuinely provides life saving skills.

Endorsed by The Faculty of Pre-Hospital Care – The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, approved by Qualsafe Awards and Offqual and fulfilling the competencies set out in the PHEM skills framework at descriptor level D, this fantastic qualification is perfect for a range of roles in emergency care. These roles include Event Medical Responder, Emergency Care Support Worker, Trainee Paramedic, Security Officer and anyone working in a high risk location. FREC 3 is one of the very few First Aid/Medical qualifications recognised by the Security Industry Authority (SIA).

There are a number of Pre Hospital medical care courses on the market and we at Chieftian Training  considered all of them before choosing to align ourselves with FREC. The First Response Emergency Care Level 3 (FREC 3) has now replaced the First Person on Scene Intermediate (FPOSi) qualification as the industry standard. We believe the syllabus is far wider than the Highfields First Aid Response and the AOFAQ First Person on Scene Courses. FREC 3, is of course also a pre requisite to the FREC Level 4. The FREC suite of qualifications will ultimately lead to the QA Level 6 Diploma in Paramedic Practice (RQF).

This is a regulated and nationally recognised qualification and particularly valuable on the CV for those seeking a career in the emergency services, ambulance service, the event and security medical sector or anyone who works in high risk workplaces.

If you want to learn Advanced First Aid over and above the HSE First Aid at Work then this is the course for you.

As with all our courses we believe you learn hands on, not watching lots of other students practice. Our FREC Level 3 Instructors each have a long standing background as an Ambulance Paramedics, an A&E nurse or a military paramedic. If you want to learn how to keep people alive until they can get to a hospital then this is the team to teach you.
